I preordered my Collectors edition, picked it up this morning. All of a sudden it occurs to me, that I dont know if I needed some kind of preorder code to gain my early access.

Is everything I need to gain access tonight when I get home in the box, or did I need a promo code at my time of purchase or preorder?

As I understand it, your product key identifies your copy as CE and as such will give you access when you register it.

Register on the squeenix site,
And play.

Nothing special, it's all the usual routine/nonsense that you expect when you buy a new MMO.

Don't forget to register your awesome helmet.

No huge patches yet either.
A small one, and a 450~ MB patch.
So not too bad, just make sure you use something other than Squeenix's stupid client to do it.

Collectors edition = early access?
