Iceheart didn't do anything wrong, though. Her people are the opponent in a political war and she's being targeted specifically because of what she represents. Just outright icing her (teehee) would be a solution, sure, but when you just shove people into TVs without looking closer you never find out who the real killer is, or why.
Yes, but the rabbit hole turns into an abyss. Let's be honest - we're playing characters who walked up to primals and punched them in the face - literally, for those of us playing Monks. Frankly, we didn't need Ishgard's permission for anything. Here's how it could have been in the MSQ:
Holy See: "Your airship's in the Stone Vigil. But we're not letting you in there."
PC: "I pick my teeth with Garuda's pinions, keep Titan's little toe as a pet rock, use Ifrit's junk to light my barbecue grill, and I posed by Svara's twitching corpse. I'd like to see you snow... excuse me, sneaux bunnies stop me."
*marches into Stone Vigil. Kills Dragon. Flies off in Enterprise. Drops Ishgebind's head into the Camp Dragonhead courtyard in a flyby*
Yes, as I said, I am spoiled.
BONUS: Ishgard in two pictures:
"But in the laugh there was another voice. A clearer laugh, an ironic laugh. A laugh which laughs because it chooses not to weep."
