I'm new to FFXIV but not to MMOs or Final Fantasy. I have RP experience on Wyrmrest Accord in WoW (which I still actively play) and my favorite FF is IX by a landslide, probably followed by X and VI. I have high hopes from what I've heard about this game's RP community!
I've had a lot of good experiences with the RP here in FF14! I hope you get the same conclusion.
