I am very eager to start roleplaying, and recently I was looking for new MMOs to do that. A lot of people recommended XIV over the majority of other games. I have been roleplaying for years, though recently forum, text and other MMOs (when it comes to roleplaying) have grown mundane on me.
The only closest thing I have been to a Final Fantasy game was when I was observing my brother's friend play on his laptop years and years behind. I do remember he had a chicken similar to this:Â
 (which seems cute might I add)
For now, I am mostly seeking someone to hold my hand through the process. Tell me some of the foundations, as it is clearly not simply "choose a server and start roleplaying!" - I would love it if I can chat with someone patient enough to carry me over their backs and tour me around!Â
What's a character transfer for, and how do I do it?Â
Do I buy a subscription, and do I need to level up before getting involved in roleplay? So and so on.
