Its really that simple.
But it doesn't? It's two separate worlds and two separate games. If you think scythes are a viable weapon, it's up to you to explain in roleplay why the countless obvious weaknesses are not there, instead of just saying "it's pretendyland" and expecting them to be glossed over.
Like how a Monks fists can out damage a WAR throwing a big ass Axe at you.
Or how Garleans had giant ships that could combat Midsgardsormr but didn't have a bomb that could have nuked Eorzean forces and be done with it.
Or how the derplander got shot in the face and all it did was knock his helmet off.
If you solo out one thing, gotta acknowledge all the others.
