Like many, Warren's guardian deity is Oschon. As one of the Wanderer's own, he spent most of his youth and upbringing on the roads as part of a nomadic caravan. It wasn't until his mid-twenties when he arrived for good in Ul'dah, departing from the group and striking out as his own man.
Wind, I think, represents Warren's element well. He came and went as he pleased, with no particular direction or care. It matches his resistances as well, though. After having rolled along for so many years, Warren finally set down roots. His years of traveling had finally given him the means to stop traveling - as Oschon's Sign protects its bearer from the Wind, so too has Warren's upbringing given him the strength to resist picking up and moving once more.
