Typing Limit

Maybe it was like this in XI and everyone's simply just use to it.. but has anyone had any problems with the character limit (think about 85!?) in the chat box? I've found myself on occasion typing to my friend only to be stopped mid-way through an adjective. Is it just something I'm going to have to get use to or .. maybe.. there's a work around? *hopeful* Also, if someone says "use less adjectives" I will smack you!
