Long ago, there was a girl of red.

Red was her hair, and red her clothes, red her nails, her eyes.
Most of all, red was her temper, quick to act and quick to judge, her heart in the right place but way too rash.
Wanting to do good, yes good was her wish.
Yet truly she staid tot the old saying: „If you wish to help others, first help yourself“
And thus she was alone, her heart and ways had driven away all. She was alone, no matter her deeds, her heart, still burning red, was blazing wild in loneliness no others could bear.
Long ago, there was a girl of blue.
Blue her hair, blue her clothes, blue her gloves, her eyes.
More than all, blue was her heart, ridden with guilt and insecurity, helping others was helping herself she thought, saving and making others feel better made her feel better about her miserable self.
All her time she used for noble deeds for others, leading those she saved into decadence.
Rather than being inspired and solving their problems themselves, they did nothing but praise, give and raise statues for her.
Even when amongst all ehr admirers, surrounded by meaningless gestures, her lonesome heart drowned in sadness and dark thoughts
These two, such strong opposites were bound, destined to meet.
Bound, destined to clash.
Botho f them were strong, stronger than human, their emotions fueled their powers.
The girl of red with her blazing soul, her fires and strength put dragons to shame.
She never yielded, never surrendered, never changed her path, her way.
Her obstacles were left in ruin, left in ash.
She fought with a massive axe, doubled her size, four times her weight, ornamented with skulls oft he same metal as the blade, truly fireproof.
So different yet again was the girl of blue.
Peaceful and serene, full  of elegance and near perfection was her style, lance an drapier her weapons, ornamented with lillies and roses.
Like water she moved, evading attacks and returning them in a near flawless rhythm, any fight she was involved, she dictated, every battlefield became her ballroom, and she lead the dance.
The two clashed in the city, over a trivial, needless thing.
A robbery, a rich salesman, a sizeable sum of wealth was on the table, at rist.
The girl of red demanded half oft he sum as payment, which in turn enraged the girl of blue.
A fight broke out, finally the girls found one matching them in power in the respective other.
At a draw and immensly exhausted, thetwo ended their battle. A single inn had one spare room they had to share, which the two reluctantly complied to.
That night the two glared at eachother, standing next tot he bed. It only had room for one of them, the girl of red true to her spirit, was aobut to start yet another fight about it.
However, she was silenced by the heart of blue.
The other girl laid down on the ground, halfly curled up and left the bed fort he girl of red.
Such she had never witnessed before; another backing down without a fight or argument.
The next day, the two together retrieved the salesmans´ wealth, who rewarded the two with half oft he sum.
Once more the girl of red was surprised, another giving her so much wealth for nothing, without asking or demanding it first.
For another week the two stood side by side, slowly growing with the help of the others oh so different polar personalities.
At one, dark rainy day, their journey should end. A massive monstrous creature attacked the city, its´ terrifying rays of energy obliterated anything in its´ way, massive tendrils of bone piercing the fleeing citizens and guiding them to its´ massive maw, where it consumed them.
Both of them fought the beast, however they lost.
The girl of red was gravely wounded, leaned against her weapon she expected the final strike of one of the tendrils of the monster.
With as much stoicism as she could, she closed her eyes, waiting for the blow…which never came.
Instead, she heard the clash of metal against bone, and the terrifying sound of flesh being pierced.
She opened her eyes, seeing the other, the girl of blue, terribly wounded.
Her arms had bone-claws sticking deep inside so much they were seen coming out on the other side, her legs pierced by pikes of bone, pinning her in place. Only her willpower kept her standing upright, like an insect pinned in a box.
She was shaking, trembling, slowly she turned her head halfly towards the girl of red, to not show the other girl her bloodied face, and the tears falling down her cheeks.
For a moment the monster stopped. As if to honor their bravery, the two eyes of the creature lid up, to end their suffering with another ray of energy.

“Go…run and be…safe”

Was what the girl of blue muttered. When the girl of red did not move, her voice went higher, shouting in a screeching tone:

“RUN! Save yourself! Let me be of some last use by saving you!”

Her voiced was cracked up. She didn´t want to die, she just shouted so..so that her inevitable death was not in vain, so she would not die as she had lived and perceived herself: Worthless.

In this moment the eyes of the girl of red began to water. She did not run, no.
She limped around the other girl, and lod herself lean against her, her arms wrapped around her neck. The girl of red was shaking just as badly as the other.

“No…if not in life…atleast in death I do not want to be…alone.”

Neither did she wish to die, but for this one moment, her own survival, her gains and life meant less to her than her desire, her wish to not let this brave girl die alone, all because of her own incompetence and failure.

The monster fired its´ ray, enveloping the two girls. Quickly their bodies faded, melting into eachother.
Blue and red, the two colours clashed, pushed against eachother. Before, in a new light, the two melted into a new colour, a dark purple.

In a big implosion, the energies gathered into the new purple light, forming a new, female shape. It stretched out its´ arms and sent a wave of energy against the monster, flying in a zig-zag of purple light.
When it hit the monster, a beautiful melody resounded from the clash. Its giant eyes lid up, before its´ light dying, and its´ monstrous body falling to the ground.
The light faded, showing the new form, the new girl.
Tall she was, purple was her hair, purple her clothes, her face gentle and calm, friendly, but not overtly so.
The only thing not of purple were her eyes, one was of a bright, burning red, the other of a calm, dark blue.
The few survivors gathered around, asking who she was, where the other girls had disappeared to.
She rested a hand on her chest:
“No longer do we stride with confidence and avarice of a dragon.
No longer will we be slaves and statues for those who do not strive to stand up and fight for their lives on their own and instead live in decadence.
Those in need we will help. Those who we cherish we will always keep at our side and in our heart. Those who cannot defend themselves we will fight for until our end, and those who stand in our way and that of our beloved, who harm them or us, we will wipe out.
From our death now onto our final demise in the future,  we are one.”

With that the girl of purple began her journey through the world, trying to find her place in the world.
And that is what the colour of purple means to me. Why it is my favourite colour.

At the end of days, on this high mountain of sin, a shape still stands. The days of darkness reign, only the pale blue moon shines at times on this barren wasteland.
He/she, this lone lost breathing little one lifts his/her head to the skies, only clouds blocking the stars who were once shining so brightly.

The shape did not move, his/her long coat brushed behind by the wind, revealing pale skin, stiches, patches and scars. The sudden breeze was about to brush his/her hood away, but quickly reaching up with the left, damaged arm, he/she made sure it did not reveal his/her face.

The gaze went down to the ground of the mountain, the very foundation of it: ash, bone and dust, the only gain of his/her year long fighting.

The wind again came up to life, circling around the mountain´s top, carrying dust with it, vaguely shaping images: loved ones, monsters, scenes of sadness and trauma.
Without a motion he/she stared at the shapes, having seen such often before, not reaching to the old, rusted blade on his/her back, old and corroded with age.



Once the wind had subsided he/she was no longer alone, the shape of a young child, shaped from dust was standing right in front of him/her

"Still fighting?" The chil asked, sadness in its voice, as it pointed to the countless bones they were standing on.
He/she did not respond, just continued to stare at the child, unmoving.

"Why, it is pointless you know. You wont change anything. It´s been over long before you were even born, you needn´t fight someones elses lost war, just leave."
He/she shook his/her head a no, staring at the child with his/her pale silvern eyes, her answer more than clear.



"You cast away your life for naught, there is noone here to protect, nothing to fight for and as soon as you are done, the of this world will be done for as well."

Upon hearing the he/she gave a nod, drawing her old blade, speaking the first time, his/her voice quiet, yet unshaking. "There is the reason. So bring what you got, I will not run away."

Interested the child-form tilted its head, speaking
"Then, atleast tell me. What are you, who are you, poor, poor child." Its voice filled with pity.
He/she sighed, seemingly not used to that much talking.



"Fears´ son, despairs daughter. Heroism."
