I wish they could remember how to elephant because I had the wonderful luck of putting through a world transfer application when the server died.

I think I'm in existential limbo. Guess I'm going to have to contact support in the morning.

For most, it came back up after maybe 15-30 minutes downtime.

If you're on console, I'd power off the device and then start back up.

I logged off and now I'm getting the dreaded lobby server error trying to change characters.

So even Famfrit had a server program issue.

I see a bunch of people got alts onto the server, but I tried around the same time and it wouldn't let me. I feel cheated. Dodgy

I think the best part is that I got back into the game shortly after the crash, and then moments later I got a whisper from a gold spammer. I was amused that they like... apparently keep trying to get alts onto Balmung and were successful for one time.
