Exactly. We're made out of bitter hate and resentment. Alcohol just makes us burn hotter.

I shouldn't have, but I laughed.

[edit]: Also, philadelphians don't even like Philadelphia. It may look green right now, but in another month it will be a grey and twisted wasteland choked with graffiti and coal dust.

I'm not proud to admit it, but I stole the premise of the joke right from a Penny Arcade comic.

I am actually here now at Otakon , so feel free to PM me if you wish to contact me. I won't be only in Convention Center but mostly at inner harbor and also aquarium possibly this weekend.

Coatleque, hang out with people for dinner instead!

I'm not too far from Baltimore either. I was thinking of watching cosplayers at the inner harbor, because I didn't want to pay $80 when my friends didn't also have the money to join in. Parking would be horrible though. :p

I used to work in an office on Charles Street. It's all a matter of timing and knowing where to park. Worst Case Scenario, Park and Ride on Eastern Boulevarde in Essex and take the 23 or the 40 quickbus. They'll put you within walking distance of the con. Or you could park anywhere along the Light Rail and take that in. Lots of options!

Thanks for the advice! I'll figure it out once my friend and I decide if we're going or not. Smile

Traffic report on 98Rock this morning right as I was getting out of my car at work made mention that the line for Otakon wraps entirely around the building of the BCC and it causing gawker delays.

I was down there yesterday! Me and three friends were in line for about an hour or so before we reached the halfway point and by then it was already 8pm. We left to get dinner and they resolved to just get down there today to pick up badges, hoping the problem would be resolved.

...welp. Good luck, anyone trying to get down there and in. Seriously questioning whether or not it's worth it!

And listen to Dogberry; The light rail is by far the most convenient thing to get in and out. Works great for O's games, too.

If you don't mind the extra walk, you can also park at the Rusty Scupper over at the other end of the harbor past the Science Center. That is where I always park for Ravens games and the prices are pretty reasonable last I remember.

Saturday!

If you guys are going to be near Inner Harbor and aquarium tomorrow. If we are doing lunch gathering let me know!

RE: Otakon 2014 - Naja - 08-09-2014

My friend and I totally took the light rail in and took pictures of cosplayers. I haven't been to Otakon in... 6 years? So I forgot all about the light rail. We snagged a pic of a cute lala couple, and another of a miqo'te! Big Grin

RE: Otakon 2014 - dearie doe - 08-09-2014

I want to go this year, but sadly I have no car, so I'm doomed a few states away.
I hope everyone has fun though, it sounds like a lot of the popular legends of the RPC live near there. o .o

RE: Otakon 2014 - EkheiBalduin - 08-09-2014

If I wanted to drive for about 4 hours, I'd totally go. But I don't believe my vehicle in it's current state would survive the trip. Oh well. There's always next year!
