As for pricing, I would see how much the RMTs are selling gil for (I think it's normally per 100k? not sure, really don't pay much attention to the tells) since that kind of gives an idea of how much the gil is worth compared to USD. Take that in to consideration with how much other people are selling pieces for in USD/Gil and I'm sure you'll be able to come up something ^^
