Incidentally, a quick reskin job is not much trouble at all if you know your tools, so I wouldn't discard the "unique developer gear" theory.

All of these are things I had in mind (changing a texture for an MMO model is easy), I'd just like to not believe them because I want to be able to dye things, okay?!Â

Maybe in the future for the AF sets we will be able? But for AF and AF+1 that is for sure not happening cause AF+1 dyed gear if you really think about it.. just better stats. I can totally see dye gear in the future for other AF sets if they don't do what they did with first two AFs.. same design just reskin in color.
