Hello everyone. I'm a new player to FFXIV who is trying to get back into MMOs and role playing in general. It's been a few years since I've played an MMO, I believe the last one I played regularly was Lord of the Rings online which I enjoyed quite a bit, but my experience goes back much further than that. I don't want to date myself too much but I started with Everquest and have at least dabbled in most of the major MMORPGs in between. That said I've finally got the itch to try a new one and it was to FFXIV that I came.Â
So far I'm enjoying things pretty well. I'm really liking the game but since I started I have been looking to get a little more out of my subscription fee than just blindly soloing the entire time. I started looking around for possible RP opportunities eventually finding my way here and decided to join up in hopes of connecting with some like minded people to enjoy the game.
Most of what I have seen has been top notch. It looks like there are a lot of creative, fun people here and I'm looking forward to meeting others and developing my character. I would probably consider myself to have a heavier rp style. I'm in character pretty much all the time when I'm in game and will gladly jump right in to most situations but all things considered I'm pretty laid back. I'm not going to jump down your throat if you drop out of character or make some lore mistake. I'm still learning things too so hopefully you'll show me the same courtesy.Â
The bottom line is I just want to have fun. Life is stressful enough without purposefully adding needless drama to it. Feel free to hit me up if you see me in game. I'd love to meet you and who knows, it might end up being a real good time.
