(I had a G51-VX) If you need help looking for parts, a lot of the Asus ones are usually on ebay and some other weird online shops.  I'd replaced the fan, thermal paste, thermal pads, ram, chassis (stole from a G50VT), lid/hinges (stole from a different G50VT) on mine. ...good times. Putting that poor thing through hell.
