On a more serious note, I imagine Faye views pets the same way as my grandma: she adores animals, but doesn't have any because they're too messy and they'll "ruin" her house and belongings. 
 She also views their dependence as a bit of a nuisance, but if she ever gave having a pet a chance, I think not only would she enjoy their cuteness, but her maternal instincts would kick in and she'd like caring for them. ;-; She would probably have to worry frequently about Val eating any pets, though.
