RE: What is your character's Virtue/Vice? - Gharen - 08-27-2014

For Gharen,

Fortitude: Gharen lived a hard life growing up, this has left him with the fortitude to survive, but also left him with the drive to further himself in his personal quest to not only find balance within himself but in becoming an Ala Mhigan weapons master.

Wrath/Pride: Gharen is often in an unconscious battle of wills with his id, a dark aspect of his psyche that represents all of the locked away anger, hatred, and pain he has experienced in his life, it is savage and feral, it's only goal (right now) is to destroy potential threats that cause it harm. He also looks down upon himself as worthless and while he has gotten better about this over the course of the last year with the help of those around him it is something that he still does quietly.

RE: What is your character's Virtue/Vice? - Verad - 08-28-2014

Hah, haven't seen this system in a while. Much preferred to Nature/Demeanor, really.

Virtue: Charity
Verad's business model is based on giving broken things a second chance. Bad artists, poor materials, and shoddy goods alike are all put in front of people in the hopes that they will see the value he sees. This attitude extends to people as often as to products.

Vice: Pride
Anybody who has spoken to Verad for long enough to hear him give one of his many titles is probably aware of this one. His arrogance and overestimation of his own abilities is the stuff of legend in and of itself.

(You probably thought it would be Greed, didn't you? Not at his prices!)

RE: What is your character's Virtue/Vice? - Kage - 08-28-2014

Hurm not toooo familiar with it but here's my take on Kage.

Virtue: Charity
Like many others here before him, Kage will go to great lengths to help others. At the cost of who he is or his own life, he will try to help them.

Vice(s): Envy/Lust/Gluttony
Kage craves and does everything he can for the love and acceptance of those he does love. He craves the relationships people have and he can never get enough of the time and attention he does get from his loved ones. He'd do anything to continue receiving them. Sometimes, to his own peril. Or theirs...

RE: What is your character's Virtue/Vice? - Melkire - 08-28-2014

Virtue: Faith
To quote Life of Brian, "Always look on the bright side of life." *whistles tune*
Over the years, Osric has seen or otherwise experienced enough hardship to know that, as awful as suffering can be, pain and turmoil often serve a higher purpose, even if all that means is instilling the drive to endure and survive in the one who suffers. What he once knew instinctively, he now understands consciously.

Vice: Lust
Osric is downright fanatical about keeping his friends and loved ones safe. This has, over time, instilled a messiah complex in him. If he values you, then he will go to absurd lengths to guarantee your well-being. That's his passion, and it was engrained in him at an early age. His "lust" is both a major weakness and a major strength.

RE: What is your character's Virtue/Vice? - Oscare - 08-28-2014

Decided too many applied to Oscare, so I went with a heavier primary one and a not-so heavy secondary virtue and vice. >_<

Primary Virute: Temperance
Oscare is a firm believer of balance in all things. Having too much of one will upset the balance on the other end of the scale. And unbalance leads to unhealthy decisions, regardless of how insignificant or if it was done unconsciously. It's a mindset he's developed.

Secondary Virture: Fortitude
Regardless on whatever happens? Oscare WILL see it to the end, especially if it's for a loved one. He will do anything and everything in his power to make sure every conflict has its beginning and its ending, no matter how hard it'll bite back at him later.

Primary Vice: Greed
Oscare always thirsts for more and more. He's probably as good of a sniper and hunter as he can be, trained under the best of the best and even a higher ranked sniper for the Empire, but he has a drive to discover MORE. It tends to bite him in the ass more often than he'd like it to.

Secondary Vice: Pride
Anyone who's played with Oscare would know that this is pretty accurate, even though I personally believe that Greed is more prominent in Oscare than Pride is.

It's kind of cool that both of his virtues contradict both of his vices. They clash against each other, causing the balance he seeks. I DID A GOOD I THINK.
