I actually just stretched up to 10g today -__- It's gonna be like 4-5 months before I reach a 00!! And I want 1 1/2" in the long run.. :<

Anyhow, I LOVE DREADS. Been thinking of getting them myself. (Being half-black my hair dreads naturally). How do you like them? And do you regret them at all?

Love, love, love my dreads. My hair is pretty straight, so they took a while to look 'real' per se haha. This is my second set actually and I have never been disappointed. Taught me a lot about patience and how others may or may not judge you with a quick once over Tongue

Oh yes! I've always wanted to get a sleeve, but with my future career choice I'll have to keep it under a shirt. It's the same with piercings, but man, I want to see some cool picture of everyone's tattoos.

*so jealous* I had dreads when I was 12, right before I moved to the US. xD Needless to say, Chinese people do not give a fuck about personal space and they kept putting their hands on my hair. So I got rid of 'em.

I have one tattoo - below my neck, on my spine in the centre of my back. It's a valknut. I have more planned but I want to design them myself, such as Thor's Hammer and a two-part one with my sister and a portrait of my cat. I also have two sets of ear piercings, a labret peircing and a nose stud.

Clothes wise, I am not very alternative anymore. I used to be a goth/metalhead/rockabilly but now I just wear what I like and don't really gravitate towards a specific subculture since I found out most of the people I met through that were arseholes. Not to say everyone is, but unfortunately that was my experience. Most of my clothes still fall into one of those catagories though.

I wish I had some cool ink I could talk about. But, alas, not yet. I don't have any piercings either, simply because they've never really appealed to me (that isn't to say I don't like piercings, it's just not something I want for myself).

I will say that overall, I love body modification, because I find it's such a cool, unique way to express yourself, more than just wearing an article of clothing.

I do have a couple tattoo ideas for myself:
I do plan to get a full back piece of St Michael, the archangel, casting Satan out of heaven. I also plan to get two sleeves, one based on Egyptian mythology (depicting Anubis and the weighing of the hearts) and the other based on Norse mythology (depicting Vidar battling the wolf, Fenris at the time of Ragnarok). Though, because I plan to be a school teacher, those will have to be half sleeves, so I can cover them up easily enough with a rolled up, long sleeve shirt. Perhaps once I have a stable job, I can add more to them to make them full sleeves.

My two pieces.  Both were photographed right after I got them so they're a bit angry looking.  Both done by the same artist.  I designed the dragon with the artist and the hawk was a design that I found on a flash site and modified to make it resonate with me.
