RE: Your character gets everything they want - Conchris - 01-21-2015 Somewhere in the future... RE: Your character gets everything they want - Y'lani - 01-28-2015 <redacted until later. 100% certain I can do better!> RE: Your character gets everything they want - Aduu Avagnar - 01-28-2015 A soft smile creeps across Nako's face as the darkness engulfed him. "Oblivion at last." was all he uttered as he passed away, his Aether returning to the world. RE: Your character gets everything they want - Alothia - 01-28-2015 Alothia steps out into the garden, the soft grass tickling the underside of her toes, making her smile softly. She watches as Sahji and Mhikaa tackle each other, moonlight flickering in the silvery tendrils of their hair, braided on opposite sides of their heads, mirror images in the cool of the eve. She sits at the small table and watches her girls play over the rim of her tea cup, a brew that Zanin had clued her into all those moons ago. On nights like this, she liked to remember them, those she had known before the Calamity, and after, and had been there on and off ever since. She curls the fingers of her right hand around the handle, and her left hand strays toward the papers in front of her. Letters, many of them, delivered by the Postmoogle over the past few suns. She reads them all, one by one, fingers sometimes tracing the quillmarks that her friends made. Lily. Eric. Kass. K'ajia. Nel. Each one malms away, but still close to her in heart. She closes her eyes and sighs at the end, letting the memories soak into her, envisioning the smile of Kass' little girl. The fierce growl of K'ajia as she taught the others of her tribe how to fight. Lily's stoic expression concealing so much more. She missed them. But this was...right... "Sahji, go get your father!" she calls to the young girl, who comes bouncing over to the table to plant a small rosebud of a kiss on her mother's cheek before running inside the house. She pauses and pulls Mhikaa's tail softly as she trails after her sister, a small fanged grin peeking at the corners of her lips. Twelve, Alothia thinks, It is finally over. There is peace. She looks up at the moon, and whispers a faint prayer of thanks to Memphina, before she stands and faces her husband. Peace. Both in and out. RE: Your character gets everything they want - Melodia - 01-28-2015 Melodia: She hung up the uniform as she always had and smiled. It was a warm, friendly smile and she sighed contentedly. She was done. Her last day as a Jacket and she was...what was she now? "I'm me own woman....no' bound t' anythin' but me own desires." She said it in a whisper, answering her own thought. She laughed softly and again whispered softly. "I'll make sure yer proud o' me, Tomas...livin' happily...jus' as we dreamed it." She stepped out of her front door and into the evening air in Limsa....a newly reborn and free woman, ready to seize her new life amid the city she'd grown to love. Ruru: He was making dinner, as he enjoyed doing from time to time. He'd long ago hung up his black armor and the polished Paladin gear was strapped onto the mannequin he'd acquired. He was nervous as he rushed to the door of his small home in the Goblet and opened it with a nervous smile. He'd come as requested and while he knew it was awkward, he gestured inside. "You came. I'm...glad you did, old friend. Please come in....we have a lot to talk about..." and with that, Kage entered the room to share dinner and discuss old friendships and Ruru's return to the world he'd left behind. RE: Your character gets everything they want - SessionZero - 01-28-2015 "My lord commander! News from the front!" Reilan watched the messenger scurry into his command tent, lifting his gaze from the maps scattered about the war table. "Speak then lad, what news?"  "The front reports that the last of the Dravanian horde has been rounded up and summarily executed, m'lord. The surrounding lands are firmly under Ishgardian control. Scouts work to locate small pockets of Dravanians in the hills but... 'tis over, m'lord. We've won." Reilan watched the messenger for some time before striding gracefully from his tent to observe the surrounding landscape. The skies were mercifully clear of dragons, and cheers echoed through the hills. Clearly the news of victory had spread quickly throughout the coalition forces of Ishgard's houses and the Temple Knights. Reilan's gaze panned to the Ishgardian banner flying in the breeze next to his tent, under which hung a pennant bearing the sigil of the Temple Knights. He stared at it for a moment before walking briskly to a nearby raised outcropping. As he crested it to stand above the gathered soldiers one of his personal escort called out through a bullhorn, "The Lord Commander speaks!" The gathered soldiers quieted and turned their attention to Reilan. "Soldiers of Ishgard! Holy knights of the Church! Today we give our utmost thanks unto the Fury, for she hath delivered unto us a great victory over the devil hordes we have fought for so long!" He paused to allow the men a rousing cheer. "Let those who doubted our purpose, let those who questioned our faith tremble, for today, we have shown our quality! Today, we have proven the might of Ishgard!" Again the men cheered, louder than before. "Let us raise high the lance of our goddess, that we may herald the return of the glory of Ishgard! And let all of Eorzea, and the dogs in Garlemald know that the strength of Ishgard does not waver! Our faith does not falter! And we! Will! Never! Fall!!" He ended his speech with a thrust of his armor-clad fist in the air, adding his shout to the cheers of his men. Their roar shook the surrounding land to its very core. |
