Thank you for the reply! Unless they're hell-bent on tracking down every last person who has left the walls, I find it hard to believe that they'd find interest in Aya - but I am uncertain on that point so I feel it something worth discussing! ^_^
Her history in Ishgard includes being a pleasant and likable young girl who was delinquent in her studies, preferred hidden nightlife and the company of the adventurous, rebellious, and frequently criminal to that of proper society (which, regardless, would likely have had little interest in a once prominent Ala Mhigan family now reduced to poverty, and living off of the backs of distant relatives, yet clinging for dear life onto old pretensions, i.e. her family are kind of unlikable, unimportant people). Its likely that she got into trouble through her friends, but never would have engaged in any serious criminal offense, nor anything of real value to society (unless one considers partying and entertaining to be of value!).
She's readily found at the Quick Sand these days, and although often busy serving patrons loves to chat! It should be easy to meet In-Character, and any Ishgardian who meets her will instantly recognize her accent. (That said, she'll probably treat anyone she believes is from the Ishgardian upper classes with considerable coolness).
