Falling for a male. ((OOC Welcome! :D)) - Yangh - 09-20-2014

It was such good idea at the time, a bit of fun, hell, she'd even convinced herself it was to gain a vantage point. Such a lie, she just wanted to climb the big tree.

She had much time to consider her careless grasp as she fell away from the branch in slow motion. Strange how such things always moved so slowly. She wondered, had anyone thought of repeatedly falling from great heights in order to get more thinking done?

Perhaps this was a great secret unlocking, if only she could figure a way to make it practical she could enhance her own thought process. Her ears perked at the the sound of rushing water below her. Deep within the shroud as she was and not a care in the world, except this brilliant new method of cognitive function enhancement.

Still, she moved away from the branch, or was the branch moving away from her? Yet another odd thing to think on in such a circumstance, adding to all the other odd things she'd been thinking about.

"How rude." she thought to herself. Had she offended the branch? Were her hands so unclean? Did she smell so badly? What? She had to know!

*Crack*

That was curious, she thought, the world tumbling around her.

"Oh? Now the whole of Eorzea? Well excuse me!" she thought in annoyance.

The pain started, before she could think about it...

*Crack... crack, crunch*

This was new, more tumbling and pain... her hands hurt for some reason, her vision unusually dull even for her.

"Oh. right. Falling. Sorry." she thought, adding the apology to the branch and the immediate world around her for her mistake.

Still she fell, further and further, slower and slower. She felt warm, a hot residue coating her face and hands. The pain in her back stabbed at her causing her eyes to squint and fists to clench. Had she really fallen that far? She wasn't that high up to begin with... was she?

*Splash*

The warmth was replaced with a bone chilling cold, wrapping her slowly as she broke the skin of the water below. It seemed so slow, the fall... but this was quick. She gasped as the cold took her, sucking in air as she went under, taking in a mouthful of water.

*Thud*

Her back hurt for a moment, the breath knocked out of her, water from lungs and all. The stream, it would seem, was not as deep as she'd deemed.

"That rhymed." she mused to herself as her conciousness faded. "Falling is great for thinking after all."

All turned black, dark and still, no sound, no light, no breath, no life.

A pinhole of light that grew larger, a vice like grip and suddenly, light! Blinding... then pain! So much pain, hands, back, head, legs, feet... and a strong grip. Someone carrying her, dull footfalls against the earth.

She passed out again, for how long she couldn't tell. When she awoke, there he was, standing over her, looming, dark eyes and blonde to boot. Large too ans smug, oh that smug look they all wore. She pieced it together quickly, he'd saved her from her fall into freezing aqua.

She struggled to sit and didn't quite manage it, he moved away quickly, retreating to a safe distance without so much a vocal cue. She was offended.

Why?

She didn't know, yet the lashing out came, in Akshar no less, her native tongue. Long since had it been spoken outside of her secluded Clan.

"لا تنظر في وجهي نظرة متعجرف!" she growled.

He understood her tone atleast, casting his gaze down at the ground as she huffed and hissed.

"الذين كنت تعتقد انك ، ولمس لي دون موافقتي?" she hissed.

The poor male hadn't planned on such a rude awakening, though it quickly passed. He looked up again as the scolding subsided, his dark visage studying her for a long moment.

The sound of a sharp crack of twigs alerted them both, the male shot to his feet, thudding over to stand in front of her, a stalwart protector, even though she'd lashed out at him. he stood his ground, making himself look twice as large as she thought he was.

Foorsteps moved off a few moments later.

"Wark! Waaark!" the male sounded, curling to her body as a shield, bed, pillow and winged blanket.

"ماذا - لا - - قلت .. النزول ! النزول !" she protested to no avail.

It would seem Chocobos were every bit as stubborn as she was... comfortable too.

She fell asleep.
