New player intro. and a few questions - Einrid - 05-17-2014 Hello all! I am a new player of FFXIV on Gilgamesh.  I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, and I'm working on getting a good grasp of the lore for this game.  MMORPG Background/RP Experience I've RP'ed previously in old-school vanilla WoW and, more recently, in Guild Wars 2, and I am looking to get involved with the RP scene in FFXIV.  I've mostly been in moderate RP groups, probably IC around 50% of the time. Character Info My main is a male Midlander hyur named Einrid Hillcrest.  I'm going for a Gridanian theme with him.  His main class is CNJ (for now) and will be WHM.  I'm also working on botanist and carpenter on the side.  I'm still developing his character, but I'm strongly considering doing a naturalist sort of character.  An eco-friendly type who respects the elementals of the Black Shroud and studies the natural world.  I normally RP chaotic-good types. How did you learn about the coalition? I usually scope out the RP scene of an MMORPG I'm interested in playing before I start, so I've been lurking for a bit. What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? I'd probably like to stick to what I'm used to, a medium role-player.  I enjoy RP, but I'm not always in the mood.  I'm interested in the lore and stories behind the worlds of MMOs, and I believe that people should adhere to the lore and rules of the world. I do have a couple of questions I was hoping to get answers to.  Are there any RP free companies based out of Gridania?  Or any RP hotspots in the Black Shroud?  I've been keeping an eye out, but haven't seen anything obvious.
