The Mythril Coalition - Tailero - 01-13-2014

The Mythril Coalition are an IC Free Company with offshooting Link shells that make up it's general structure. If you inquire please note that you will need to have an available FC slot.

We are a Heavy RP-Based Free Company that extends our reach to endgame activity. Most of our members enjoy a healthy dose of both, and although roleplayers are preferred, and indeed make up the majority of our ranks, we do not exclude social interaction and people who are merely interested in PVE.

IC Information:

Ul'dah, ever guarded by the watchful gaze of Nald'thal it's patron deity. As it would have you believe, golden stone, fueled by its riches and the red flames of it's champions. A noble society preserved by generations of merchant and Sultan alike. Yet no secret is it that the fragile balance between the Sultanate and the Syndicate is constantly under threat.
The conspiracy has set about a weary distrust from the public denizens of the desert jewel. And so the distrust of many would lead to a lack of control, influence that the syndicate so sorely needed. Yet order must prevail, where the Oath sworn have no ties in politics, and the brass blades so over run now in its corruption, fueled by the coffers of the syndicate, that none would look to them for aid.

The once strong influence and control of the merchant guilds, dwindled and lest they risk more rioting they would once more need a new force of peace keepers to reign in favor from the public.

And so the Mythril Coalition was forged. Upon the backs of a noble knighthood, tied to no one as it's master. Enlisted within its ranks? New, promising adventurers to bring about a new era of change. To keep the streets, nay the regions of all Eorzea safe from harm. A new beacon of hope for the inhabitants of Ul'dah to turn to and trust.
Yet - for all those looking for a new start, these Mythril blades stained as copper may yet just be dipped in silver.

It's core? A delightful web of conceit and political subterfuge, for what is merely a different name has the same purpose to the Syndicate. The delicate pulling of strings and it's re-branded influence, unbeknownst to most within its ranks, is sponsored by the Syndicates gold and 'support', all for a price.

For any who would look upon them, a brand new symbol of hope, for any that would know better? A new puppet for the Syndicate to manipulate. A hopeful servant of justice? Or corrupt officer of the law, Ul'dah breeds both sides of the brass coin.

And only you can select which side you will be on.

Structure:

The Council
A board of notable figures within the Coalition serve as the core of it's foundations. It's ranks comprise of Captains, Vice captains and Advisors of prominent connections - or perhaps simply those with significant achievements gained in the organization.
This board of consul oversees the day to day operations of the faction, respected and resourceful, any that would make their ranks are tasked with the burden of making decisions on behalf of his or her men. A decision, infinitely wagered and measured by the Head Chair - who's presence can be interchanged, elected and even revoked should a majority of the council wish it. An ever revolving structure dedicated to the smooth transition of leadership so that those below it need not suffer unrest or disruption.

It's forefathers, an ambiguous collective of Ul'dahn authority, sought to employ those that would brunt the face of the organization, train their men and uphold the values that their parchmented declarations would cite.

The Administration.
Not much is known about the clerks, the filers - the pencil pushers that keep the cogs oiled and the connections, well... Connected. Acting as Liaisons, accountants or whatever necessities keep the inner workings of the knighthood within the good graces of good book keeping. Not the most glamorous of jobs but someone has to do it. Administration are also responsible for passing on delegated tasks, jobs paid for by concerned citizens and missions of national security.

The Administration could be said to be above that of the council. Though none make it their business to inquire.

The Mythril Coven.
Acting as an advisory position to the knights, a devoted wing of the Mythril Coalition is reserved solely for those that would seek ways to keep our men on their feet and their knowledge as rich as their coffers.
Scholars from all walks of life may join within the ranks of the research division for his or her own purposes, whether it be to catalogue notable occurrence's in Ul'dahn history, to seek out and archive the many relics expeditions may unearth. An organization like the coalition has use for many things beyond the raw edge of a blade. The advice and oversight of the scholars within this division is often called upon for their varied expertise and academic prowess.
Alchemists, more prominently serve within this sect to aid in the production of medicinal supplies. Though there are those that would fund expeditions to acquire much needed ingredients and rare components.

The Physicians.
Such charitable donations of the company would see it that the medical division is well stocked and staffed. The heart of the knighthood is only sustained by its men, women, doctors and clerics that seek to keep the men fit to fight.

The Mythril Blades.
The main taskforce of the Coalition, all though there is notable bias toward swordsmanship, there are many that would sign up to aid - no matter their weapon of choice. Bowmen are made use of by the knights for ranged combat, archers that support the main brunt of their forces. Even the enforcer that would cast a spell has a place in these ranks should they desire to uphold the virtues of the company, and protect the citizens of eorzea. Those quicker on their feet, often used for quick task-force assignments to work with their heavier armored comrades.
The brigade has a command structure of it's own and ranks, overseen by the Captain of the Guard and the Vice Captain.
