First time roleplayer - justarandombirb - 07-06-2017 Hello everyone I started playing FFXIV about a year ago now and I really been enjoying my time playing this game. I been playing on Exodus and the community there seem great, but I always been wanting to take a dip into roleplaying. I feel like the time is right and I am considering following the bandwagon and going to Mateus and so far I heard mostly good things about it. I'm not quite sure how to go about creating a character exactly, but I bet that going to be a fun learning experience.  I'd rather like to follow the lore of the world as it seems really cool and pretty well thought out. I always found the best way to make a character is to literally just take the first concept that comes to mind, wiggle it so it fits the world, and go with it. You know what you dig, chances are your knee jerk idea can work nicely. I, uh, I make a lot of alts... RE: First time roleplayer - Thunderbolt300 - 07-06-2017 Hey there, and welcome aboard to the RPC and RP in general!  Best of luck over there on Mateus- best option is going to probably be to try and plug in with a group so you can see how it's done and how it works, and cut your teeth in a relatively controlled setting. From there, you can branch out at your own pace and garner all sorts of connections! A lot of my ideas tend to be random things in the moment. Bless your soul for having to level all those characters....I will now have one character for an RP, but I doubt I'll make anymore. So I'll have to make sure she has plenty of room to grow~ Thank you for the welcome and advice! @Thunderbolt300: I think that what I'm going to do thank you for the welcome and advice and of course the rep! I'm going to come up with a character design and name than adventure in. I don't really feel like paying for a name change or anything so just want to make sure I can start with that and watch the pros at work and if their an opportunity I'll try my best! :3 PS: If anyone curious why I just didn't quote both of them is I just didn't want it to get too long or messy.Â
