[Siren] A great server for new RPers! - Ajih - 10-07-2015
Three months ago I entered FFXIV:AAR for the first time. I found this site, and shortly thereafter discovered that I couldn't create a character on Gilgamesh or Balmung. At that time, the next best option appeared to be Siren.
I'm very glad I did! The RP community there is active, with some great guilds. While RPers are in the minority, in all my random RPing in taverns, cities, etc., I've run into a good number of players happy to engage in a little RP interaction. I was only trolled twice, and both times they quickly left once they were ignored and blacklisted.
It took me a while to discover http://sirenrp.enjin.com/, the coordinating website for RP on the server. A number of guilds have weekly events, and people planning server-wide RP events are active on the forums there.
Best of all, since RPers are in the minority, everyone is positive and friendly toward each other, and very tolerant of different RP styles. The friends I've made there are great people, and obviously experienced RPers (as well as experienced players of the game).
If you drop in on the server and want to say hello, don't be shy. I can be found, usually, in the late afternoon and some weekend days (Mountain Time) as Merwyda Mhaswyn, and later at night (after 10-11pm Mountain) as Ajih Jhilsu'tan.

Hello there!
I recently got back into the game after a lot of moving around oocly, but I play on Siren as well.
At the moment with a lvl 30 male ninja Au ra (Zef'rin Dy'neren) and just started a new female lvl 1 conjurer Au ra (Masumi Yukisawa)Â
Feel free to add either of them if anyone on Siren is up for some RP.
No matter where you spot me, Ill always be IC except in Tells ^-^
In order to get something started, I always like to kick off with my characters having left a small notice on the message boards around towns (male left them in Limsa, female in Gridania) Mentioning they were new in the area and looking for fellow adventurers to seek out adventure together.
That can trigger a letter being sent icly etc in order to be able to hook up for example ^-^
