Philosophical rambling of this nature loses a lot of its weight when you forgot the damn thing was there in the first place. ...and yes, I do occasionally take hours to finish a drink.

Alexia doesn't know who the glass belongs to, but thinks they should clean up after themselves and also won't touch it herself because germs.

She doesn't know who's put their slimy lips on that glass, after all.

Erel thinks the glass could serve a useful purpose in the future. Perhaps some weary soul will be dying of thirst and will trade anything for a drink. 

It is best to keep the glass around until such time as it has fulfilled its usefulness..then it will either be consumed, tossed carelessly away, saved as a memento, or serve as some sort of strange pet ...Erel hasn't decided yet.
